What regex syntax is supported?+

Full JavaScript regular expressions: character classes, quantifiers, groups, lookarounds — and $1, $2… back-references in the replacement field.

What's the difference between "Match case" and "Whole words"?+

Match case makes the search case-sensitive (Cat ≠ cat). Whole words stops partial matches — searching "cat" will no longer touch "category" or "concatenate".

Is there a size limit?+

No hard limit — millions of characters replace in a fraction of a second since it's a single native regex pass.

Is my text uploaded?+

No. Everything happens locally in your browser.

Does the Word (.docx) upload keep my formatting?+

Yes — replacements happen inside your original file, so fonts, bold/italic, colors, sizes, headings, lists, tables and images stay exactly as they were. Only headers/footers aren't processed.
